April 11, 1923 - March 26, 2018 Service Date: April 2, 2018 Funeral Services honoring Roma’s life will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018, beginning with a prayer service at 1:15 p.m. from the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224 45th Street. Private interment will take place in St. George Cemetery. |

Roma R. (nee: Chiappetta) Cesario, age 94 of Kenosha, died peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018, at Aurora Medical Center, with her family by her side. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was born on April 11, 1923, the youngest of six daughters born to the late Salvatore and Raffaela (Cosentino) Chiappetta. She was a 1941 graduate of Kenosha High School. On April 12, 1947 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Guido Cesario. Sadly, after nearly 68 years of marriage, Guido preceded her in death on February 21, 2016. In 1970, Roma began employment in the library with U.W.-Parkside, retiring in 1987. She previously was employed with Lepp and Company from 1942 until 1948 and Kenosha Public Library from 1963 until 1969. Roma was a faithful lifelong member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was a past president of the Holy Rosary Ladies Society. She was also a member of the Catholic Woman’s Club and a life member of the Kenosha Bradford Alumni Association. Roma never met a conversation she didn’t like. Her true joys were talking to people, reading, gardening and cooking. She touched many people, always with a spirit of optimism and positivity. She will be missed. Roma will be remembered by her loving sons, Michel J., Gregory J. and Jeffrey J. (Michelle) Cesario; her beautiful granddaughter, Bailey M Cesario; and her loving nieces, nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five sisters, Mary (Cyril) Marsden, Elaine (Robert) Pinzger, Eletta (Thomas) Guider, Lydia (Frank) Judeikas and Eleanora (Eugene) Peterson; and a niece, Rita Judeikas Floryance. |
