Stephen Ray Haught, age 71 of Kenosha, died surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 8, 2018. He was born on December 30, 1946 in Clay City, IL and was the son of the late William and Lois (Pierce) Haught, Sr. Stephen received his Bachelor’s Degree in Photography from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. From September 8, 1966 until September 16, 1968, he honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Warm. During his service, he proudly received two purple hearts, the bronze service star and numerous other decorations and commendations. For over 35 years, he was the owner of House of Nutrition, retiring in 2015. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Stephen was an avid reader and history buff. He enjoyed reading mystery novels. He liked to spend time traveling in his R.V., hiking and camping. Stephen will be missed by his former wife, Cheryl Hadley; his children, Rachel (Ted Despotes) Haught and Joshua (Octavia Roberts) Haught; two grandchildren, Laila and August; his brother, Terry Haught; two nieces, Amber and Mandy; his special friend, Monica Scholz; his aunt Evelyn in Clay City, IL and extended family in West Virginia; along with his special canine buddy, Sweetie Pie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy; his uncle Bill; and other family members in West Virginia. Stephen was humbled and honored knowing that Arlington National Cemetery was to be his final resting place. Memorial remembrances to St. Joseph Catholic Academy, 2401 69th St. Kenosha, WI 53143, would be appreciated by the family.
