Julia L. “Julie” Duba, age 92 of Kenosha, passed away at her residence on November 4, 2017. Born in Hillsboro, IL on June 25, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Pierina (Bellaver) Rizzotto. On October 10, 1946 at St. Casimir Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Steven Duba. After 47 years of marriage, Steven preceded her in death on December 15, 1993. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Julie was a dedicated volunteer and was recognized for 3000 hours of service with the former St. Catherine’s Hospital and Kenosha Hospital Auxiliaries. Kenosha News wrote an article regarding her commitment to volunteer work. She was also a member of the P.L.A.V. Ladies Chapter #34 Auxiliary. Julie was very committed to veterans and also volunteered at V.F.W. Post #2751 in Somers. She was an avid Brewer and Cubs fan. Julie enjoyed playing bingo, polka dancing, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Donna (Eugene) Fuller, Edward (Kathy) Duba, Timothy (Lois) Duba, Linda (Jeff) Jenkins, Hilary (Sundaram) La Pierre, Joan (Jeff) Blasczyk and Thomas Duba; grandchildren, Michele Ashton Thompson, James Duba, Amanda (Kenneth) Huffman, Matthew Jenkins, Kyle (Erin) Jenkins, Katie (Sean) McGinnis, Leah Blasczyk, Jennifer (Scot) Shilts and Mark (Tammy) Fuller; and great grandchildren, Gavin Ashton Thompson, Joshua Huffman, Nathan Huffman, Collin Jenkins, Isaac Jenkins and Shaela McGinnis. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Makenna; and her siblings. |
