Muriel A. Ringdahl, lovingly known by many as “Ringie”, age 81 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Hospice Alliance, Inc. /Hospice House, in Pleasant Prairie. Born in Onalaska, WI on March 5, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ardyth (Funk) Marcus, Sr. She graduated from Onalaska High School in 1954 and from College of St. Francis School of Nursing in Lacrosse in 1957; vice president of her class. Muriel married and moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Her nursing career flourished and she established the 1st intensive care unit at the Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. Later divorced, she moved to Kenosha and continued her nursing career at Kenosha Hospital, St. Catherine’s Hospital and for Drs. Akgulian, Durani and Chua; retiring in 2003. Along with her caring devotion for patients, Muriel loved and enjoyed raising her four children. She found time to appreciate bird watching, reading, football; especially the Packers and going to the casino. Muriel was a huge Elvis fan! Muriel is survived by her children, Brian (Teri) Ringdahl, Elizabeth Ringdahl, Amy (Vince) Carravetta and Daniel Ringdahl; her grandchildren, Jason Ringdahl, Thomas (Heather) Ringdahl, Jessica (Allan) Storandt, Nicholas (Cathy) Jones, Gregory Jones, Alexander Carravetta, Joseph Carravetta, Daniel Justin Ringdahl and Madison Malissa Ringdahl and her great grandchildren, Hailey, Tylar and Dominick Jones, Hunter, Joseph and LeeAnn Ringdahl, Hailey and Adilynn Storandt. She is further survived by her sister in law, Ruth Marcus and many loving nieces, nephews and many dear friends and hospital family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert “Bob” Marcus and Harold “Bud” Marcus, Jr. |
