Leonard Orlando Parise

Leonard Orlando Parise, age 98, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 9^, 2017.

Born April 14, 1919 in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Frank & Catherine Rose (Fonte) Parise.A lifetime resident of Kenosha he attended local schools.

During WWII Leonard served in the Second Armored Division, 66^th Recon, U.S. Army. He entered on December 23^rd, 1942 and was discharged on November 17, 1945 as a Motorcyclist 378.  He served in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe.  He was awarded the Purple Heart after being wounded in Sicily, and received the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Service Ribbon.

On July 6, 1946 in Valparaiso, Ind. he was united in marriage to Dolores “Lorrie” Pfeiffer.  They would be celebrating their 71^st anniversary this July.

From 1947 until his retirement in 1982 he owned and operated Parise Motors.  He was also a truck driver for MAC Construction and the Wisconsin Electric Power Plant. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local #43.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Dolores “Lorrie” Parise; his five children, Kathy (Pete) DeBartelo, Len (Sandy) Parise, Mary (Mike) Rugg and Jack (Amy Wells-Parise) Parise, all of Kenosha and Barbara (Joseph) Probst of Mukwonago and his “ third son”, Joey (Eileen) Falcone of Kenosha; five grandchildren, Peter DeBartelo, Shane (Janelle Ebner) Rugg, Chris (Amy Frayer) Rugg,  Lenny Parise, Bradley (Sarah) Parise; ten great-grandchildren, Amanda (Josh), Vinnie, Phoebe, Talia, Gabriella, Mia, Paxten, Sophia, Christopher, Logan and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his five brothers, Anthony, James, Joe, Vito and Charles Parise, and two sisters, Mary Parise, in infancy and Josephine Falcone.
