Loretta Mae Portilia, age 87 of Kenosha, died with her loving family at her side on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at United Hospital System – Kenosha Hospital Campus. Born in Kenosha on May 30, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Helen (Schneeberger) Klacynski. On September 3, 1949 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, she married the love of her life, Romano J. Portilia. Sadly, after 59 years together, he preceded her in death on February 7, 2009. Loretta was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time volunteering at church as well as at United Hospital Systems – Kenosha Hospital Campus. She was an excellent cook and an enthusiastic Chicago Bears fan. Loretta’s main focus in life was her family and she was incredibly proud of their many accomplishments. She is survived by her two sons, Brian and Charles Portilia, both of Kenosha; her three grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer) and Brock (Nadia) Portilia, both of Kenosha and Alexandra Mae of Green Bay; and her four great grandchildren, Brian, Oliver, Zoe and Phoebe. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, George; a sister, Dorothy and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Portilia. Loretta’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Zeihen, the staff of both United Hospital Systems-Kenosha Hospital Campus, and Manor Care for the compassionate care they provided. |
