Annabel “Annie” Leff, age 84, of Kenosha, passed away at her residence on Monday, August 4, 2014.
Born on September 6, 1929, in Melcher, IA, she was the daughter of the late John and Blanche (Newton) Gotta. She began her education in Melcher and when she was twelve, her family relocated to Kenosha where she was a 1947 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
On May 21, 1949, she was united in marriage to Earl Leff in the rectory of St. Mary Catholic Church. They were blessed with two sons.
Annie was employed with Jockey for 20 years, retiring in 1980.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Annie enjoyed the summers that she spent at their family home in Eagle River, where she loved to fish, play cards, visit the casino and get together with friends. She also loved the challenge of crossword puzzles, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and in her younger years, enjoyed traveling.
Annie will be deeply missed by her husband, Earl; their two sons, Larry (Julianne) and Steven Leff; four grandchildren, Melissa (Jason) Bolton, Andrew, Michael (Amber) Leff and Alexandra (Jon) Schneider;; a sister, Grace Carson and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, John, Andy and Albert Gotta and two sisters, Mary Nichols and Clarabel Howe, her beloved twin.
