Service Date: May 12, 2017 Funeral services honoring the life of John will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (Corner of 48th St. and 8th Ave.). Private inurnment will take place in St. James Cemetery. |

Lifelong Kenosha resident John J. Demske, Jr., age 90, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. John was born in Kenosha on August 29, 1926, the son of the late John and Emaline (DeCamp) Demske. He was a 1944 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. Following High School, John enlisted in the US Marine Corps serving in the South Pacific and China. On November 8, 1947, he was united in marriage to Shirley Middlecamp. Sadly, she preceded him in death on August 29, 2009. He was employed for many years with AMC/Chrysler until his retirement. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and a life member of VFW Post 1865. He enjoyed traveling and golf, especially with the Friday afternoon couples group. John is survived by his five children, Gerald (Linda) Demske, Paul (Carolyn) Demske, Joseph (Robin) Demske, Barbara (John) Dumke, and Sheri (Bill) Zaionc; five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister Doris Puterka. Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister Joyce Quinn. |
