Arthur R. Buchanan, age 83 of Kenosha passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Froedert Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa. Art was born in Nekoosa, WI on August 14, 1933 to the late Densmore and Myrtle (Bidwell) Buchanan. On November 20, 1954, he was united in marriage to Shirley Schilling. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Arthur owned and operated Community Roffler Stylists for many years until his recent retirement in 2016. Arthur was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a member of Ken-Ws Club. Art was very active in the community with the Downtown Kenosha Rotary where he was a two time Paul Harris Fellow. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Anne (Steve) Putterman of Milwaukee; five grandsons, Ryan (Jamie) Schroeder, Blake Buchanan, Andrew Putterman, C.J. Putterman, and Matthew Putterman; and two great-grandsons, Christian and Chase Schroeder. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kent in 2013. | |
