Frank J. Curi, Jr., age 69, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his home, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. Frank was born on April 12, 1947 in Kenosha, the son of the late Frank J. and Joanne M. (Burzynski) Curi, Sr. Educated in local schools, he received his BS from UW-Parkside. From September 22, 1967 until March 28, 1969, he proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy stationed aboard the U.S.S. Montrose in San Diego, CA. He also served in the Naval Reserves until his honorable discharge on August 31, 1972. On May 24, 1980, Frank was united in marriage to Susan Celmer at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. They were blessed with one son, Matthew. For over 10 years, Frank was employed with the KAC as a Job Placement Specialist and Social Worker. He was an avid sports fan and loved following his favorite teams; the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks. His sporting interests and gambling hobby took him on annual trips to Las Vegas to follow March Madness with his son and their friends. Frank loved spending time with family and friends and was thrilled when he became a grandfather for the first time last April. He will be deeply missed by his son, Matthew (Ashley) Curi; his former wife, Susan Curi; a step-daughter Tanya (Tony) Perri; his brother, Joe Curi; a sister, Betty (Van) Thompson; his grandson, Greyson Curi and his nephew, Vincent Curi. |
