Amber J. Reinke, age 66, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Hospice Alliance Pleasant Prairie House. A native of Kenosha, WI, born on November 13, 1950, Amber Jane (Hughes) Reinke and her two protective older brothers were raised by a hardworking single mom in an era not known for working women or single-parent homes. While it would be easy to think this was a disadvantage, in truth, Amber’s unique upbringing developed in her an inspiring undercurrent of strength and compassion. From it, she learned early in life to value hard work and work hard for what she valued. For Amber, nothing was more valuable than her family. She was intensely dedicated, ferociously loyal, and poured into her loved ones everything she had and more. She was a spark of joy that will be treasured and missed more than any words could ever express. Amber is survived by her daughter Melissa, Nashville, TN; grandson Colin, Pleasant Prairie, WI; brother Daniel (Julie) Hughes, Franklin, WI; sister-in-law Mary Ann Hughes, Raymond, WI; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen (Flatley Hughes) Young; father Robert Hughes; daughter Rochelle Reinke; and brothers Joseph Colin Hughes and Michael Hughes. The family wishes to extend special gratitude to Dr. Abdul Durrani, Pastor Charlie Hansen, Brenda, Sarah, and everyone at Hospice Alliance, whose faithful caregiving granted them the gift of time, a full year to capture and collect every moment together. |
