Jeanette M. “Jeannie” Schuirmann, age 74, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2016 at United Hospital Systems-Kenosha Campus, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 17, 1942, in Ogema, WI, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Lily (Carlson) Swanson. She was raised in Northern Wisconsin and was a 1960 graduate of Prentice High School. On September 6, 1966, Jeannie was united in marriage to Edward Schuirmann in Milwaukee. She was employed with the Kenosha Unified School District at Curtis Strange Elementary School, for many years. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. As a music lover, she was a huge fan of Elvis, and more recently of Neil Diamond and Tom Jones; attending several of their concerts over the years. In her earlier years, she loved to camp with her family but nothing compared to the joy she got from spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends. Jeannie felt blessed to be a grandmother and took every opportunity to be with them. Jeannie will be deeply missed by her daughter, Lisa Kuhn; a brother, Alan Swanson; her former husband, Edward Schuirmann; and her four beloved grandchildren, Alexis, Arianna, Aubriella, and Riley. She is further survived by her niece, Linda (Doug) Karas; her dear friend, Aldina Bertelle, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Beverly Emmer and Arlene Sedlar, as well as a son-in-law, Joseph Kuhn in 2013. |
