Albert was born on February 2, 1924 to the late Anthony and Theresa (Ruffalo) Tenuta in Kenosha. He attended Kenosha public schools, graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School. In 1978, they purchased Somers Superette and they operated the small country grocery store until their retirement in the spring of 2005. Albert and Esther then moved to Janesville to live with their daughter Cindy, and spent winters in Murrietta, CA with their daughter Lorna and her family. Albert was an active member of the U.S. Army reserves, the V.F.W., and the American Legion for many years. He and his wife were also members of the Circle and Star Square Dance Club prior to their retirement. While in Janesville, Albert was an active member of the Janesville Senior Club.
