Charlotte Anne (Carlson) Sink, 90, born in Wichita, KS, October 13, 1925, lived a life of faith believing and learning the constancy of God’s care from start to her home going Monday, May 30, 2016 at Brookdale North, Kenosha. She radiated her love for Christ as a teacher’s aide in McKeesport, PA; Secretary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, IL; Senior Pastor’s Secretary at Church of the Door in Los Angeles, CA; and Secretary at StorageTek in Louisville, CO. The loves of her life, besides her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, included her husband of forty-three years, Harold W. Carlson, Pastor Evangelist, who proceeded her in death in 1988; and husband of twenty-one years, Clarence E. Sink, Accountant, and Veteran of WWII, who proceeded her in death in 2012. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Henry A. and Mary (Campbell) Kuhns, and was the last surviving sibling of four brothers, and two sisters. Impacted by the faith of their mother and professing salvation in Jesus alone she is survived by her children, John Mark (Mary) Carlson of Minneapolis, MN.; Pamela Joy (Richard) Middleton of Kenosha, WI; and Scott Harold (Mary Lou) Carlson, residing in Tianjin, P.R. China. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two step-daughters, three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. She always expressed an attitude of celebration exemplifying the Bible verse, Philippians 4:4, by answering the question “How are you?” with, “Wonderful,” even in her final days. She enjoyed traveling, playing games, encouraging others, offering hospitality, laughing, loving and living her life fully for Jesus Christ. She was always ready to go on a new adventure. Her greatest adventure, eternal life in the presence of the Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace has just begun. Special thanks to the staff at Brookdale North and Hospice Alliance, Inc. for the loving care they gave “Char.” |
