Jane E. Robinson, 72, of Kenosha, quietly passed away after a prolonged battle with Multiple System Atrophy on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Home and Rehabilitation Center in Kenosha with her loving family by her side. She was born in Kenosha on July 12, 1943, to the late Thaddeus and Catherine (Carroll) Stowe. Jane graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School; RK Teacher’s College in Union Grove, WI, and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. Jane married James Zons on August 4, 1962, and had three children; he sadly passed away in 1966 after less than 4 years together. She then married Ric Robinson on October 10, 1975, and was married for 17 years until his death in 1992. She was a wonderful wife and mother to her family, as well as a cherished grandmother and great grandmother. She resided in Whitewater and Eau Claire for several years, but moved back to Kenosha to be closer to her family in 2000. Jane had a great love of sewing, walking, bird watching, puzzles, flamingos, ladybugs, Mighty Mouse, and the Pink Panther. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren affectionately called Jane “Mom-Mom” who had a brilliant smile and memorable laugh that could always entice others to laugh along with her. Mostly Jane will be remembered for her infinitely patient and helpful nature, her extensive knowledge of just about any subject, and her devotion to and care for her husbands, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, and mother. Jane is survived by her children, James Edmund Zons, Jr. of Colfax, WI, Jennifer (Scott) DeGenova of Crystal Lake, IL, and Joseph (Deb) Zons of Pleasant Prairie along with 9 grandchildren, Gabrielle (Chris) Cheney, Michael and Heather Zons, Nicholas and Ariana DeGenova, Daniel and Catherine Zons, and Chloe and Adelynn Lenz; 2 great grandchildren, Zoey and Ian Cheney; a sister, Carole Stowe of Pleasant Prairie; a niece, Caiti Berg; and several cousins. Jane’s family would like to extend a personal thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Home, Dr. Aimee Ledesma, M.D., and Dr. Pushparanee Babusukumar, M.D., for the many years of generous care they provided. |
