Ermerlene “Erma” Ritacca, age 82 of Kenosha, died on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Aurora-St. Luke’s Medical Center. Born in Barton , Arkansas on April 1, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Lena Lee (Hughes) Skinner. She was a graduate of Central High School in Helena, Arkansas. Erma moved to Kenosha shortly after her graduation. She began her working career at Quaker Stretcher. Erma was a well liked waitress for many, many years at several local restaurants. She was manager at Deli Food Express that was located on 75th St. and 29th Ave. and worked in various offices at U.W.-Parkside. Erma also did private home health care. Erma was a lifetime member of Kenosha Family Church-Church of the Nazarene and the Young at Heart Club. She enjoyed bowling on the U.W. Parkside League, coached her children’s baseball teams and volunteered for many organizations. Erma was also an avid Packer fan. Erma’s love and devotion to her family will always be remembered by her children, Rick Ritacca, Glen Ritacca, Carol Ritacca Savaglio and Frank (Vilma) Ritacca II; her grandchildren, Tommy, Vito, Rebecca, Bryan, Angelena, Alyssa, and Luke. She is further survived by her brothers, Chester (Ann) and Earl (Ruth) Skinner; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son (twin of Rick) Louis E. Ritacca; her brothers, Myrl, James, Boyd, John, Layma and Elvis “Nick” Skinner; her sisters, Naomi Johnston and Bernice Snyder; and her son-in-law, Alex Savaglio. Erma’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Zeihen, Dr. Ramanuja Manda and the Cardiac and ICU Teams at St. Luke’s in Milwaukee. |
