Joel A. “Joe” Painter, age 55 of Kenosha died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his residence. Born on June 24, 1960 in Racine, he was the son of the late Kenneth R. and Winifred L.(Lane) Painter. He was a graduate of Washington Park High School and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. On August 25, 1990, he was united in marriage to Mary Kalinka. Their union was blessed with two handsome sons. For 27 years, Joe was employed as a manager with Grove Gear. Joe was an avid sports enthusiast. He was an accomplished golfer and bowler. His love of golf led Joe to custom design golf clubs for other enthusiasts. He also was in many golf and bowling leagues in Kenosha and Racine throughout his life. Joe enjoyed following football; especially the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, and baseball; especially the Milwaukee Brewers. Above all, Joe loved his sons. He was a doting dad who was proud of their many accomplishments and enjoyed watching them play league baseball. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Painter; his two sons, Brandon and Ryan Painter; his two brothers, Robert (Terry) Painter and Ronald (Maryelizabeth) Painter; his sister, Laurie (Tim) Jones; his brothers-in-law, Mike (Susan) and Peter (Peggy) Kalinka; his sister-in-law, Joann (Mike) Kelly; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Cyril and Janet Kalinka.
