A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7400 39th Avenue. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass. Jean L. Rugg, age 91 of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie. She was born on January 23, 1924 in Minnesota the daughter of the late John E. and Georgianna (Paquette) Boswell, Sr. After her relocation to Kenosha as a child she attended Lincoln Jr. High School and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. She received her nursing diploma from Jane Mc Allister School of Nursing. Jean went on to receive her BS Degree in Health Arts from the College of St. Francis. Jean was united in marriage to Richard C. Rugg at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on November 9, 1946. Sadly, Dick preceded her in death on January 14, 1995. Jean was very hard working and began her nursing career at St. Catherine’s Hospital and Brookside Care Center. The majority of Jean’s nursing career was as the Patient Care Manager of 4Palmer at Kenosha Memorial Hospital and concurrently she served as the consultant for patient care at the Dayton Residential Facility. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and a former member of The Women of the Moose, Chapter155 where she had served as the Star Recorder. Jean liked to take care of her home and yard and she enjoyed going out dancing. She was a politics fanatic and was concerned about many government issues. Jean enjoyed watching TV; especially Fox News, flower gardening and watching her daughter, Pat also garden. Survivors include her four children, Michael (Mary) Rugg, Patricia (Thomas) Leiting, Thomas (Sandra) Rugg, and Debra (Gary) Hansen. She is further survived by her five grandchildren and her eleven great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Johnston; and a brother, John E. Boswell Jr.
