Donald E. Leineweber

Donald E. Leineweber, age 88, formerly of Kenosha, passed away at his residence on Monday, June 15, 2015 in Novi, MI.

Born on June 30, 1926, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late William and Catherine (DeFrang) Leineweber. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.

Donald honorably served our country in the U. S. Navy from June 26, 1944 and was discharged on June 15, 1946.

On May 3, 1952, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Donald was united in marriage to Marie Rita Pellicori. She preceded him in death on October 15, 1995.

For over 30 years, he was employed with AMC/Chrysler Corp. in both Kenosha and Michigan. He was a member of the UAW Local #72 retirees and while living in Kenosha, he was also a former member of the Kenosha Moose Lodge #286, the Knights of Columbus Council #973 and the VFW Junker-Ball Post #1865.

Donald was a skilled artist who preferred watercolors and oil painting. He built intricate model sailboats and military ships, enjoyed traveling with his wife, was fortunate to be able to travel to Alaska several times for fishing trips and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

He will be deeply missed by his son, Gary (Debra) Leineweber; four grandchildren, Sarah, Traci and Eric Leineweber and Jacob Molnar and a son-in-law, Joseph Curtis.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth Curtis and two sisters, Lorraine Tyson and LaVerne “Sis” Sytkowski.
