Dr. George Nicholas Geotsalitis, age 55 of Kenosha, died at his home with his loving family by his side on Friday, October 17, 2014.
Born in Chicago, IL on April 17, 1959; he was the son of Nicholas and Amanda (Capsopoulos) Geotsalitis.
He proudly received his Doctorate Degree in Medicine and was employed for 20 years as a Family Physician with Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha and was very well known and respected in the community.
Dr. George took great pride in being a physician and was twice named Physician of the Year. His position led him to be a noted speaker at several American Medical Association events.
Dr. George selflessly gave his time to volunteer at many sporting and charity events. His generosity and kind heart was an inspiration to all who knew him. He enjoyed volunteering as the physician for the Bristol Renaissance Fair.
Dr. George will always be remembered by his mother, Amanda Geotsalitis; his seven loving cousins, Steve (Marcia) Geotsalitis of Gurnee, IL, George D. Geotsalitis of Countryside, IL, Joyce (Bob) Gorka of Island Lake, IL, Helen (Tim) Hopes of Charleston, SC, Dennis (Maureen) Apostol of Chicago, IL, George C. Geots of Hudson, FL and Litsa Alexander of Tampa, FL; and his second cousins, Steve II (Amy) Geotsalitis, Tiffany (Chris) DuPre, Sarah (Ben) Rabe, Emily (Brian) Fischer and Mike G. Alexander.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Geotsalitis in 2005; his many aunts and uncles; and his cousins, Cookie Kolasinski and Peter Apostol.
