Rolf Anders-Meyer Johnson, age 51, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Born on December 29, 1973, he was the son of Leonard and Patricia Johnson. He was a graduate of Bradford High School. He was certified as an autobody mechanic from Waukesha Tech. He worked a few jobs around autos, but his favorite job was working at the KYF in the downtown location for many years in the membership department before that branch closed. He loved working with people. This was an ideal job for him as he interacted with all the members and staff. Rolf was an avid car enthusiast and always dreamed of refurbishing his 1970 AMC Javelin. He also had a VW “Trike” motorcycle that he enjoyed driving around town. Throughout his 30’s and 40’s he rode a hand cranked bicycle daily, long distances; preferring to ride late into the night when summer temperatures were cooler and there was less traffic. Rolf was also passionate and well versed about movies. Friends would often quiz him about movies and he had always seen it first. Mostly, Rolf will be missed for his fantastic sense of humor. He could make his sister laugh like no other. He was loyal, thoughtful, fierce, never on time, intelligent, helpful, and funny. He left his friends with smiles and laughter that will never be forgotten. Rolf had lifelong physical challenges which he overcame with inner strength, pride, and gumption of steel. One friend said even with these obstacles, he never, ever complained or let it alter his good mood. He always smiled and made time to be a good friend no matter what he might be going through. Rolf is survived by his sister, Ingrid Redding (Jeff) of Napa, CA. His beloved aunts, Ila Hansen (Oak Creek, WI), Melba Merrick (Lee’s Summit, MO) and Karen Joseph (North Kansas City, MO); also numerous loving cousins on both sides of his family and many, many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Patricia Johnson; aunt, Marlene Roscher; uncle, Rodney Meyer and aunt, Mona Pagel.
