In loving memory of Louis A. Giacomin, Jr., a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, in Pleasant Prairie at age 84. Born in Kenosha, WI on January 2, 1940, to Louis and Lucia (Toigo) Giacomin, Sr. He was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. As an entrepreneur, Lou owned and operated “Question Mark” for many years, spent some of his career as a supervisor with AMC-Chrysler, and later maintained Brighton Dale Park and Golf Course as a member of the Kenosha County Parks Department. He married his beloved wife, Mary Sturycz, on August 4, 1990. Their union was blessed with six children. Throughout his life, Lou displayed unwavering dedication and love to his family, leaving an indelible mark on all those who knew him. Lou spent precious time watching football with his great grandchildren, playing golf with friends, and baking his famous Italian cookies. A highlight of every week was cooking dinner on Sundays and enjoying the time together as a family. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Mark Giacomin, Nicole (Merv) Tridle, Michael Richie, Katrina Taylor, and Brent (Nikki) Richie; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Lou was preceded in death by his parents, and his sons, Louis Giacomin III and Louie IV. As friends and family mourn his loss, they remember a man who embraced each day with a contagious enthusiasm for life. Lou’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May Lou’s spirit find peace and may those who knew him find solace in the cherished memories they hold dear. |
