Mary Lynn Ryan, age 74 of Kenosha died on Friday, April 10, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Froedtert Memorial Hospital-Wauwatosa, following a short illness. Mary Lynn was born in Kenosha on March 4, 1941, a daughter of the late Charles and Renalda (Isermann) Schulte. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary School and was a 1958 graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic High School. She then attended nursing school at Gateway Technical College. On March 3, 1962 at St. Mary Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to James Ryan. Mary Lynn started her nursing career in the ICU at St. Catherine’s Hospital. She then was employed in the office of Dr. Rosanna Ranieri for 21 years and retired after working with Dr. Milosevic for several years. Following her retirement, Mary Lynn volunteered her time at St. Catherine’s Hospital in the diagnostic center. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Mary Lynn and her husband have been heavily involved with the workings of the Kenosha Achievement Center for many years. Always on the go and lovingly following her grandchildren to their activities, Mary Lynn at the age of 60, found time to take up the craft of tap dancing. In 2012, Mary Lynn was able to achieve her lifelong dream of traveling to Ireland with her entire family to celebrate she and Jim’s 50th wedding anniversary. Survivors include her husband Jim; her children, Tom (Jane), Patrick (Lynda), Michael, Sean (Molly), and Maureen (James) Giroux. Mary Lynn was the proud grandmother of Matthew, Kathryn, Kristin (Nathan), Michael, Kevin, Catharine, Annemarie, Sarah, Conor, and Maggie Ryan; great grandson, Owen and a sister, Suzanne Burke. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Schulte and a sister, Charlene Thomas. |
