Interment will be held privately in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation for Florence will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Florence Wieske, age 96, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Pleasant Point Senior Living, in Racine, Wisconsin. Florence was born December 29, 1927 in Kenosha, Wisconsin the daughter of Carl Arthur Sundberg and Mable (Grunland) Sundberg, the 4th of their five children. On October 28, 1950, she married William Edward Wieske at Grace Lutheran Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin and together they had 3 children. Florence was a long-time member of and volunteer at Grace Lutheran Church. She also volunteered for 28 years at Kenosha Hospital and several years at Aurora and St. Catherine’s Hospital’s bringing joy to the many patients she helped. Later in life her hobbies included sewing quilts, jig saw puzzles, word search books and video games on her computer. At family gatherings she loved singing and harmonizing with her sisters. She will be remembered for her warm and loving smile that was always topped with her red lipstick and her positive thoughts and outgoing personality. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Edward Wieske on December 11, 1990 and her siblings, Dorothy Gardner, Violet Calvert, Lillian Fratrick and Carl Sundberg. Survivors include: her children, William (Shiouling Huang) Wieske, Bonnie (Dennis) Kisley and John (Shelley) Wieske; her grandchildren, Brittney (Jake) Knippel, Michael (Caitlin) Kisley, Mariah Wieske-Ormsby, Gerald (Mary Burge) Maa and Mathew (Jenny Keto) Maa and her great grandchildren, Charlotte and Gracie Knippel, Drury and Rhys Maa and Rhet Maaketo.
