Esther R. Kaiser, age 91 of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Grand Prairie Health Care in Pleasant Prairie surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 23, 1923 in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Helen (Thompson) Scheckler. She attended local schools and graduated from Kenosha High School. On June 13, 1942 in Kenosha, she was united in marriage to Herbert G. Kaiser. They were blessed with six children and 29 years together until his death in 1971. Esther was a loving homemaker for her family. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Baptist Church always helping out and active as a Sunday School Teacher and with the Women’s Missionary Society. She was an avid swimmer. Esther enjoyed keeping busy crocheting afghans for her family and friends and toiling in her garden. She liked visiting the Friendly Center at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church; but mostly she loved spending time with her family. Left to cherish Esther’s memory are her children, Karen (Steve) Yurchak, Richard (Karen) Kaiser, James (Dawn) Kaiser, Donald (Ava) Kaiser, Raymond Kaiser and Sharon (Alvaro) Dominguez; her 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Emory, Donald and Richard and four sisters, Hazel, Alice, Lois and Verna as a child. Special thanks to Dr. Neil Shepler and his staff along with the entire staff at Grand Prairie Health Care for the wonderful care they provided to Esther. |
