A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 5100 22nd Avenue. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. A visitation for Carol will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at church. Carol Marie Pelke, age 72, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Hospice House surrounded by her family. Born in Chicago, IL on November 2, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Dorothy (Rigitano) Costa. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Lisle, IL. Carol was employed in management for Sisley Cosmetics for 45 years, retiring in 2020. Carol was a faithful member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. In addition, she was a member of the St. Anthony’s Women’s Group, St. Mary’s Youth Group and Magnificat Intercessory Prayer Group. Carol lived a spiritual life in which her faith played a very important role in prayer group, religious education, history and church activities. Above all, she loved and cherished being in the surrounding of her entire family, especially her grandchildren. Carol leaves behind many joyful memories for all of us. Her love of life, her dreams for her children and her love of family as well as others who loved her. Carol is survived by her children, Ryan David, (Rishan) Pelke and Jacquelynn Marie, (Ray) Kolenko; her grandchildren, Elijah Kolenko, Jordan Oechler, Vincenzo and Domenic Pelke; and her brother Charles Costa. Waiting to welcome her in Heaven are her parents Dorothy and Salvatore and her brother Frederick Costa.
