Barbara J. (Beam) DePaoli, age 81 of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center Kenosha due to complications of Covid. Born in Kenosha on October 16, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Emily (Gloss) Beam and was a lifelong resident of Kenosha, where she attended local schools. On March 17, 1973, Barbara was united in marriage to Joseph DePaoli. Barbara was a very kind, caring and loving person. She loved her family and friends with everything she had, and she always found the good in everyone and never left anyone out. If you have ever received a card for any occasion from her, you knew you would always get a heartfelt, funny or cute poem inside that she personally wrote, she also had some of her poems published. Barbara loved her country music that she would sing to all the time, and if you ever came to her house, you probably ended up singing with her, and she recorded it all! She will be deeply missed by all; but especially her cockatiel Barney, and her children, Rick (Gina) Oberg, Debra (Rick) Lawrence, Bernadine (John) Minor and Sheilah (Jeff) DePaoli; her eight grandchildren, Christopher (Amanda) Bednar, Ricky (Stephanie) Oberg, Gianna (Joel) Oberg, Cheryl (Jacob) Kennedy, Jami Griffin, James Griffin, Nicole Sanders and Lacy Sanders; her great grandchildren, Bradley, Kaylah, Arianna, Mackenna, Bryson, Jaxon, Anthony, Gaven, Caleb, Juliann, Kerissa and Andrew. In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her sons, Lee A. Oberg and Joseph J. DePaoli; her granddaughter, Stephanie M. Baumann; her great grandson, Mason Oberg; her sisters, Mary Olsen, Carole Davis and Janice Siegal and her brothers, Donald, Ronald, Larry, Robert, Douglas and Harvey Beam. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the physicians and nurses at Aurora Medical Center. In addition, the family would also like to thank the Aurora Hospice Nurses for their compassionate, kind, and loving care they provided Barbara.
