Lena Ardith Rosinski, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015, at her home with her family by her side. Ardith, as she preferred to be called, was born in Jones Spur, an early settlement near Lily, WI on April 22, 1937. She was the youngest of 14 children born to Alfred and Mary (Ison) Wilson. She was raised from the age of 2 in Crandon where she also attended school until the 8th grade. She left school at the age of 16, (like her mother before her, which was not uncommon at that time) to marry the love of her life. On August 22, 1943, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crandon, she was married to Frank B. Rosinski. Ardith met Frank in November, 1952 during deer season. They were introduced to each other by Frank’s friend and Ardith’s brother who served together in the service during WWII. Ardith was a homemaker her entire life and raised six children. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, the NRA and the Crandon V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, bingo and trips to the casino. She especially enjoyed family and her second home in Crandon, on land once owned by her grandparents in the 1920’s after they migrated north from Kentucky in 1904. Ardith is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Frank Rosinski and her three sons, Ed, Steven and Dan (Ellen) Rosinski. She is further survived by her daughters-in-law, Julaine and Janice; her grandchildren, Lauren, Nicole, Jenna, and Ben; and her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Martin and Patsy Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Frank, Robert and Deborah; and her siblings, Arnold, Woodrow, Raymond, Floyd, Opal, Bessie, Dora, Lorna, Lorene, Jay, Grace, Loretta, and Albert.
