May 25, 1949 - June 2, 2022 Service Date: June 6, 2022 Visitation will be on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha WI 53144, from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. The Trisagion prayer service will be offered for her at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Kimissis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 1335 South Green Bay Road, Racine, WI. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the nurses and CNA’s of Aurora Hospital on Hwy 50 in Kenosha, WI for the dedicated and exceptional care they provided her during her last days. Georgia A. Chronopoulos, fell asleep in the Lord after battling illness on the Feast of The Ascension, June 2, 2022. She was born on May 25, 1949 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the daughter of Greek immigrants Antonios and Alice (Angelike Savas) Christopoulos. She married the love of her life, Antonios Chronopoulos, on November 1, 1970. They then moved to Chicago briefly, and then to New Jersey before eventually settling in Kenosha, WI in 1986. She was dedicated to serving her family whom she loved beyond description. Survivors include her beloved daughter, Vasiliki (Jermaine) Chronopoulos and her beloved sons, Panayiotis Chronopoulos and John (Georgia) Chronopoulos. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Antonios and Maria Chronopoulos who brought her immeasurable joy. She is survived as well by her sister, Katherine Gysel of Colorado. Many additional aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends will deeply miss her beautiful smile and golden heart. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Antonios. Her second greatest love after her family was service to her Greek Orthodox Church community in Racine, WI. She was active in the Ladies Philoptochos Society, singing in the choir, supporting Sunday school, and youth ministries including the children’s Greek dance troupe. |
