Funeral services honoring Florence’s life will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:45 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 7400 39^th Ave.

Entombment will be held privately.

A visitation for Florence will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home.

Florence R. Whiteford, age 102, passed away peacefully at Brookside Care Center on Saturday, March 5, 2022 surrounded by her loving family and the wonderful Brookside staff.

Born on March 19, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Frances (Seivert) Pfeiffer.

On June 18, 1938, she was united in marriage to Hugh T. Whiteford at St. George Catholic Church. For over 61 years they found a friendship, raised a family and built a beautiful marriage. Sadly, Hugh passed away on August 16, 1999.

Florence was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, bingo, gardening and watching Jeopardy.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Richard) Janovicz, Rose Zabrauskis and Mary (Dr. John) Verrilli; her 12 grandchildren; her 11 great grandchildren; her 2 great-great grandchildren and her sister, Marie (Alan) Goff.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hugh; her daughter, Alice Anderson; her brothers, Clarence, Donald, Raphiel and Charles Pfeiffer; her sister, Angeline Neyes; her sons-in-law, Joe Zabrauskis and Charles Anderson and her daughter Rose’s companion, Quickery Pilat.
