Dora Diane Anderson, age 83, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital. Born on June 2, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Amedeo and Regina (Mascitti) Cosenza. Dora attended Bain Elementary, McKinley Jr. High and graduated from Bradford High School. On October 29, 1960, Dora was united in marriage to William Anderson at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. They were married for 32 years. She was employed as a Secretary with Jockey International, Lab Assistant for Matthews Paint Company, Co-Owner of Classic Cleaners and retired from the University of Wisconsin Parkside Registrar’s Office. Dora was an extremely family oriented person. She loved planning reunions and gatherings for family and friends. Organizing Cosenza Christmas Eve and Festa Cosenza was exciting for her, and she was dedicated to making each year more memorable than the last. Her faith in the Catholic Church and attending weekday and Saturday masses on a weekly basis at St. Peter’s Catholic Church was an appointment she rarely missed. Friday masses were always followed by coffee with her church friends at McDonalds. Warm weather and working in the yard brought her the most happiness and she loved to relax on her patio and listen to her favorite music, especially Johnny Mathis. When creativity struck, Dora was in her computer room working on elaborate computer projects, which mostly included setting still photos to music for the family and making homemade cards (the girl can work wonders with glitter glue). Dora was a proud Italian who enjoyed Cannoli’s, Pizzelles, and Pane Fritto (fried bread dough) more than one should. She is survived by her children, Paul (Lynette) Anderson, Kurt Anderson (Donna Gallo), Jane (Mark) Gremer, Jill (Chad) Ovitt all of Kenosha; her grandchildren, Jake and Luke Gremer, Carly and Kinsey Anderson, JC Diane, Marin and Cal Ovitt; her great grandchildren, Brynlee and Bailey Lyjak (twin daughters of Kinsey Anderson); her brother, Louis Cosenza; her nephews, Louis (Sue) Cosenza and Alfred Falaschi and her nieces, Gina Falaschi, Ann (Steven) Fredriksson and Janet (Mike) Kraning. In addition to her parents, Dora was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Lucy (Louis) Falaschi; and her sister-in-law, Dorothy (Gerber) Cosenza.
