Lisa Oechler, age 52 of Kenosha passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Hospice House of Pleasant Prairie, surrounded by loved ones. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was born on October 10, 1962 to J.D. Owens and Helen Alice (Hamre) Wood. Lisa was known by many. She was a graduate of Tremper High School where she excelled as a cheerleader and met her high school sweetheart and future husband, Joel Oechler. Lisa was also a bowler, seamstress and a member of the book club. After many years of dating, on September 10, 1983 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Lisa married Joel Oechler. Shortly after their marriage they began their family. In 1987, Joel Oechler, Jr. was born. He is currently a resident of Kenosha with his son, Jordan. In 1990, Heidi was born and she also is a resident of Kenosha. Lisa was a very successful realtor at Re/Max Elite in Kenosha. She had such a passion for her job and for finding everyone their perfect home. She would put her all into her work, as she did with everything. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Joel Oechler; her children, Joel, Jr. and Heidi; her parents, J.D. and Georgia Owens; her grandson, Jordan; and her siblings, Lori Owens, Bob Owens, Julie Wood, Beth Wood, and Thomas Wood. She is further survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Alice Wood. We will always carry your memory in our hearts as we live “ONE DAY AT A TIME”.
