July 22, 1942 - November 26, 2021 Service Date: December 2, 2021 SERVICE LOCATION Piasecki Funeral Home Funeral services, including honors by the Wisconsin Nurses Honors Guard will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI. Inurnment will take place at a later date. A visitation for Karen will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. |

Karen Faye Barrette, age 79, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 in Kenosha, WI. Born on July 22, 1942 in Adams County to the late Glen and Marion Feely. Karen attended Bradford High School. She was united in marriage to Frank Parise, Sr. They were blessed with two children Frank J. Parise, Jr and Mickey Parise and their marriage was later dissolved. In 1978, she married the love of her life, Lawrence F. Barrette. Karen was a dedicated homemaker and mother to her two children. As the children were growing up, Karen worked and continued her education in Nursing. She worked as a Ward Clerk, Unit Secretary, became an LPN and eventually became an RN until her retirement. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling, but most of all spending time with family. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Lawrence “Larry” F. Barrette; her children, Frank (Cheryl) Parise and Mickey Parise; her stepchildren, Larry and Dina Barrette; her siblings, Annette (Bob) DeHoff, Gene (Mary Ann) Feely, Linda (Tom) Cavanaugh, Glen (Vilma) Feely Jr, and Dawn (David) Fraher; her grandchildren, Frank L. Parise, Joseph M. Parise and Paul Lehouillier. She will also be dearly missed by her nephew, Glen A. Feely, III (G3). In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Ann in infancy.
