January 12, 1933 - November 4, 2021 Service Date: November 11, 2021 SERVICE LOCATION Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Funeral services honoring Erma’s life will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Erma Mattiazzi, age 88, a resident at The Addison in Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Born on January 12, 1933 in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Edith (Capelli) Mattiazzi. Erma grew up attending local schools, attended the University of WI-Parkside, and Marquette University. Erma worked in Pharmaceutical Sales in the Finance Department with Abbott Laboratories for many years. She enjoyed reading, watching movies and traveling world-wide. Erma was a long-time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, enjoyed working at the church’s festivals and for their Ladies Altar Society. In addition to her many Kenosha activities, Erma traveled extensively to Europe, South America, Canada, Mexico, including cruising the Caribbean and Alaska. Her favorite vacations were driving through the 48 states in her younger years. Erma was very proud of her nieces, Jill (Mattiazzi) Wilman and Laura (Mattiazzi) Leinenweber and their children, Stephanie, Brian A., Madison, Katilyn and Ethan. Erma is survived by her brother, Joseph (Patricia Iaquinta) Mattiazzi; her nieces, Jill (Brian P.) Wilman and Laura (Scott) Leinenweber; her five great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Erma was preceded in death by her sister, Ellen Mattiazzi. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to The Addison and to the Aurora Hospice Care for their wonderful care of Erma.
