Service Date: October 27, 2021 Funeral services honoring Covella’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church 7104 39th Avenue. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation for Covella will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Trinity Lutheran Church would be appreciated. |

Covella “Pete” Dalton Pierce, age 89, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Kenosha. Born on April 17, 1932 in Smithville, Mississippi, he was the son of George and Nancy (Gilmore) Pierce. Covella proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1954. He met his future wife through a blind date. He was united in marriage to Peggy Mackay on February 19, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kenosha. For over 30 years, he worked for Chrysler until his retirement. Covella was a member of the American Legion, Local 72, Scottish Night, and the sons of the American Revolution. Covella will be greatly missed by his wife, Peggy; his children, Pamela (Paul) Brackney, David (Cathy) Pierce; his grandchildren, Heather Brackney (spouse Bill Nagucki), Rachel Brackney, Matthew Pierce (fiancée Robin Bethke), Lauren Pierce (Mike Tidwell), and his in-laws, Leonard (Jeanette) Mackay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Della Cody, Leskar Milligan, Bertha Summerford, Alma Smith; his brothers, Audie Pierce, Albert Pierce, William Pierce; his in-laws, Claude Mackay, Opal Stenman, Fern Morgan, Phyllis Guntharp, Barbara Dodd, Robert Mackay, Ethel Mackay.
