Funeral services honoring Roy’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7931 200th Avenue, Bristol, WI, 53104.

Interment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.

A visitation for Roy will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home and on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 19800 80th Street, Bristol, WI 53104 would be appreciated by the family.

Roy E. Krahn, age 99, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Kenosha Senior Living just 2 months shy of his 100th birthday.

He was born on October 26, 1921, Roy was the son of the late Albert and Anna (Pagel) Krahn.

Roy proudly served his country in the United States Army.

On July 5, 1944, Roy was united in marriage to Leona Gillmore.  They built a beautiful marriage that endured for 76 years and raised a family of seven children.

Roy was a lifelong member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bristol, WI and was an active Boy Pioneer Leader.

He was employed by various farmers, American Brass, Simmons Co, and International Harvester/Dresser in the Engineering Department, until his retirement in 1986.

Roy enjoyed walking in the mall, loved to travel and has been in all 50 states-several of the Provinces of Canada, the British Isles and Central Europe.  Above all, Roy absolutely loved and cherished being in the surrounding of his entire family.

He is survived by his children, Diane Ellis of Bristol, WI, Jane Koos of Salem Lakes, WI, Patti (Thomas) Soens of Portland, OR, Rita (William) Borrelli of Addison, TX, Danny (Lisa) Krahn of Wind Lake, WI, Kathy (Perry) Landgraf of Somers, WI and Donald Krahn of Leander, TX; his 16 grandchildren, his 24 great grandchildren and his 3 great-great grandchildren; his brother, Richard (Bethel) Krahn; his brother-in-law, Wayne (Thelma) Gillmore and his sister-in-law, Carol Gillmore.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leona; his daughter, Marie Elaine Krahn at infancy; his sons-in-law David Ellis and David Koos; his grandson, Gavin Soens; his sisters, Alice (Red) Leonard and Eunice Burmeister; his brothers, Leo (Ethel) Krahn, Lyle (Doris) Krahn, Fred (Audenta) Krahn and Eugene (Delores) Krahn and his brother-in-law, Leslie Gillmore.

The family would like to thank Theresa Kiedrowski, of Season’s Hospice, for her exceptional care and compassion for Dad during the past few months.  They would also like to thank everyone at Kenosha Senior Living for their great care and love for the past 4 ½ years.
