August 24, 1922 - August 17, 2021 Service Date: August 23, 2021 Funeral services honoring Dorothy’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5038-19th Avenue. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery. A visitation for Dorothy will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. |

Dorothy Scheckler, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Brookside Care Center in Kenosha. Born on August 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Martha (Lehmann) Pflugrad. Dorothy grew up in Kenosha and attended local schools. She was united in marriage to Emory Scheckler. Sadly, Emory passed away in 2002. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid, was a Pioneer Leader and worked at Coopers for 6 ½ years. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Susan (Richard) Kraus; her grandsons, David Shilhavy and Russell Hansen-Kraus; her great-granddaughter, Alyssa; her great-grandsons, Aaron Shilhavy, Nicholas Shilhavy and Charlie Shilhavy. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Dallmann; her grandsons, Thomas Shilhavy and Robert Shilhavy; her great-granddaughter, Desiree Shilhavy; her sisters, Elsie Kugler, Gertrude Kadlac, Mildred Sekuris and her brother, George Pflugrad.
