George R. “Roger” Schultz, age 95, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015, at United Hospital Systems- Kenosha Campus. Born in Kenosha on November 19, 1919, he was the son of the late George H. and Margaret E. (Hopf) Schultz. He attended local schools and after graduation, enlisted in the U.S. Army. On January 3, 1945 in St. Casimir Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to Cecilia Budzinski. Roger proudly served our country as an MP in the U.S. Army from May 1, 1942 until his discharge on January 1, 1946. When he returned home from serving in the military in 1946, Roger was employed as President of Beck and Mahlsted, until their closing in 1967. He established his own company, Roger Schultz Realty/Schultz Builders of Kenosha, Inc., until his retirement in 2005. Roger was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and in his earlier years, was an avid biker, competing in several bike races at the Kenosha Velodrome and also in Chicago. Roger will be deeply missed by his wife of 70 years, Cecilia; a son, Tom (Kay) Schultz and three grandchildren, Bryan, Steven and Laura. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Young in 1999. |
