A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in St. George Cemetery. Carol M. Bernhoft, age 91, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington, WI. Born Milwaukee, WI on December 16, 1929, she was the daughter of Erwin and Agnes (Gora) Neblung. Carol attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. She later married Jerome Bernhoft in Kenosha, where they raised their 4 children. Carol was a Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed traveling, cruising, gardening, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her children, Gail (Donald) Bouch, Karen (Dennis) Riewe, Connie Johnson, Judy (Michael) Schmidt; her grandchildren, Gwen Schmidt, Jason Schmidt, Rachael Schmidt, Kim Jay, Chris Bouch; her step-grandchildren Matt Johnson and Amber Kirsenlohr; her great-grandchildren, Ben Jay, Kate Jay and Max Jay; and her step-great-grandchildren Jack Simmons and Ryker Bradley, Mara, and Makena Kirsenlohr. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Bernhoft; her parents, Erwin and Agnes Neblung; her sister, Joyce Osborne and son-in-law, Brad Johnson.
