February 14, 1931 - February 9, 2021 Service Date: February 14, 2021 SERVICE LOCATION Piasecki Funeral Home Funeral services honoring Winifred’s life will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53144. Private entombment will be held in All Saints Mausoleum. A visitation for Winifred will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrance may be made to the family or to Hospice Alliance Inc./Hospice House, 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158. Due to public health concerns, and in compliance with CDC guidelines, only 50 people will be permitted to enter the funeral home at one time. For the safety of our guests, you may be asked to wait outside. Social distancing will be maintained and those in attendance are required to wear a face covering. Winifred C. Kopesky, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Grande Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center with her loving daughters at her side. Born on February 14, 1931, Winifred was the daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Stedge) Fox. On January 28, 1950 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Joseph M. Kopesky. After spending 67 years together, Joseph preceded her in death on November 5, 2017. Winifred attended local schools and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She loved all types of cards, jigsaw puzzles, scratch off lottery tickets and tending to her garden. Above all, she loved and cherished being in the surrounding of her entire family. Winifred was employed in the kitchen at Washington Manor. She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Bradley) Matthews, Peggy Guibault and Tina (Fernando) Llanas; her seven grandchildren, Joseph and Ryan Miller, Aaron Matthews, Sarah Knolmayer, Allyson Houtsinger, Alexander and Nicholas Llanas; her eleven great grandchildren; her brother, Gordon (Patricia) Fox; her son-in-law, Jon Gyurina; her sister-in-law, Patricia Kopesky and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Winifred was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Kopesky; her daughter, Jane Gyurina; her son-in-law, Paul Guibault; her brothers, Warren and Eugene Fox; her sisters, Clarabelle Horton, Mertle Zoromskis, Betty Smith and Gloria Lear. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Kenosha Senior Living, Grande Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center especially her nurse Jackie and Hospice Alliance for the compassionate, kind, and loving care they provided Winifred. |
