Robert Settimi, age 80, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. Born on February 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Margaret (Calchera) Settimi. He was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. On May 31, 1969, he was united in marriage to Maryanne Hornacek at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Together they found a friendship, raised a family, and built a beautiful marriage. From August 1, 1963 until July 30, 1965, he proudly served his country with a Private First Class Rank in the United States Army as a radio teletype operator with top secret clearance. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post # 0552. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Brewers. He spent his spare time in his workshop building scale models of earth moving equipment. His woodworking skills gave him the ability to create countless works of art and items for the house. Robert enjoyed sitting outside watching the birds and squirrels, playing farkle; but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Robert was employed briefly at American Motors before becoming a Master Barber with Executive Barber Shop in Racine, WI for 53 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Maryanne Settimi; his children, Ann Marie (Gary) Schultz, Lisa (Ed) Burnett; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Lucas, and Abigail; his brother, Ned (Suzanne) Settimi of Visalia, CA; his brother-in-law, Dennis (Patti) Hornacek and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Palma Bisotti. A special thanks to Aurora Health Care – Kenosha, Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center-Milwaukee and Fresenius Kidney Care for the compassionate, kind, and loving care they provided Robert. |
