Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass. Inurnment will follow in St. Casimir’s Cemetery. |

Betty E. Dubanewicz, 94 of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Born on January 4, 1926 in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Esther Koslica. Betty attended local schools and was a lifelong resident of Kenosha. On January 31, 1948, she was united in marriage to Anthony W. Dubanewicz. They were blessed with 54 years of marriage until Tony passed away in 2002. From 1963 until her retirement in 1980, Betty and Tony co-owned Hillside Hardware. Betty was active in her children’s elementary school PTA. She was an avid bowler competing in Kenosha ladies leagues with her teammates sponsored by Chet’s Sports Bar. Betty also enjoyed golfing with Tony and other couples and in the ladies league at Maplecrest Country Club, Muni, and other area courses. The “waggle” at the top of her golf swing will not be forgotten. Betty was a longtime member and active volunteer at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. Most recently, she was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church. Other activities Betty enjoyed were Saturday night poker with the gang, pinochle with the ladies and gambling trips to the casinos. She also knitted slippers for so many people. She is survived by her four daughters, Barbara J. Stein of Kenosha, Doris (Michael) Beam of Destin, FL, Joanne (James) Coshun of Kenosha and Diane (Michael) Gastaldi of Kenosha; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
