The time she spent working with special education students brought her immense purpose and joy. She had served as president of the Vernon School Association, was active as a leader with the Girl Scouts, and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband “Gene”; her five children, Janice (Adam) Scheppler, Eric (Dawn), Ronald (Susan), Leonard (Glenna), and Russell (Vivian) Antrim: fourteen grandchildren: three great grandchildren; her siblings, Rhonda Jobe, Mary Jo ( James) Miller, and Jeri Lyn , Amy, and Tim St. Amand. In addition to her father, Dawn was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gabrielle Antrim. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses that cared for Dawn during her courageous battle with leukemia.
