Visitation from 10:00am – 11:00am with service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Shalom Center, 4314 39th Avenue, Kenosha, WI. Due to public health concerns, and in compliance with CDC guidelines, only 50 people will be permitted to enter the funeral home at one time. On Saturday, October 3, 2020, Barbara Ann (Lamb) Castleman, 80, passed away peacefully at Hospice Alliance, Kenosha, with friends by her side. Barbara was born March 6, 1940 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Racine, Wisconsin to Robert Carl Fisher and Dorothy Pearl (MacDonald) of Brooklyn, Wisconsin. Barbara lived at the Taylor Home for Children until the age of 5 when William and Mary (Jones) Lamb fostered her in their Bristol home and was formally adopted on March 9, 1955 by Mary Lamb. After graduating from Salem Central High School, Barbara continued to work on the family farm with several other foster siblings. Barbara married Paul R. Castleman, Jr., a World War II Veteran, on September 14, 1974 at The First Baptist Church in Kenosha. After Paul’s death in 1974, Barbara remained a Homemaker and resided in Kenosha. Barbara was preceded in death by her birth parents, Bert Fisher and Dorothy Pearl (MacDonald); foster father, William Lamb and adoptive Mother Mary Lamb; sister, Shirley Fisher and a step-brother James McCue. She is survived by many special friends whose heart she touched with her spunky personality, inquisitive questions, and infectious smile. Barbara enjoyed meeting new people, playing bingo, watching classic movies, and most of all ROOTBEER!
