November 5, 1934 - June 2, 2020 Service Date: June 22, 2020 Funeral services honoring Emil’s life will be held privately. A Mass of Christian Burial will be streamed live on Monday, June 22nd at 10:30 a.m. on the Piasecki Funeral Home Facebook page. The livestream can be viewed by anyone (even those who don’t have a Facebook account) at facebook.com/pafuneralhome/live/. Private Entombment will take place in All Saints Mausoleum. A visitation for Emil will be held on Sunday June 21, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home. Due to public health concerns, only 50 people will be allowed to enter the funeral home at a time. For the safety of our guests you may be required to wait outside. We encourage those in attendance to wear a face covering, social distancing will be maintained. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time. Emil Umile Passarelli, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Born in Marano Principato, Italy on November 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Francesco and Virginia (Tenuta) Passarelli. He attended grade school in Marano Principato and attended Gateway Technical College during his retirement. Emil immigrated from Marano Principato in the province of Cosenza, Italy in 1954, 66 years ago. On July 4, 1959 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to MaryAnn Puntillo. He was employed with G. Leblanc Corporation for 46 years, retiring in 2004. Simultaneously, Emil worked landscaping for many years as well. His main goal was to make sure his children had a better life. He was also President for the family business, DeRango of Kenosha since 1991. Emil and MaryAnn were life-long members of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church and he also was a member of the Holy Rosary’s Holy Name Society, where he helped run the kitchen for many events, Sports Night of Kenosha, fundraisers for Holy Rosary School and 30 plus years making Holy Rosary’s Festivals’ Famous pizza. He was a member of the Alpine Club and Roma Lodge, an avid Packers, Brewers and Bucks fan. Emil enjoyed making homemade sausage, salami and wine. He loved to bowl, play bocce, mushroom hunt and worked very hard tending to his large garden where he would share with many. He was known to many as a kind, generous man always willing to help others. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Emil is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, MaryAnn Passarelli, his children, Susanna (Kevin) Elrod, Joseph Passarelli (Michelle Kloehn) and Rosemarie Habel; his grandchildren, Steven and Christopher Elrod and Sofia Habel; his siblings, Esterina Savaglio, Rita Ruffolo and Giovanni (Rosetta) Passarelli; his sisters-in-law, Carmella Passarelli, Sister Lucille Ann Puntillo and Yvonne Puntillo and many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Emil was preceded in death by his beloved son, Michael Passarelli on February 28, 1991; his in-laws, Sam and Sue Puntillo; his sisters, Rosina (Giuseppe) Pulice and Concetta (Francesco) Caira; his brother, Antonio “Tony” Passarelli; his brothers-in-law, Pietro Ruffolo, Domenico Savaglio, James and Charles Puntillo; his niece Maria Pulice; his nephews, Francesco “Frank” Passarelli and Benedetto “Benny” Savaglio.
