A visitation will be held at Piasecki Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services honoring Barbara’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 27th at 10:00 a.m. at Westosha Lakes Church, 24823 74th Street, Salem, WI. Interment will follow in North Bristol Cemetery. |

Barbara J. Glasman, age 81 of Bristol, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Kenosha on January 24th, 1938; the daughter of the late Adolph and Mildred (Cruthers) Busse. Barbara’s early education was at the South Bristol one room schoolhouse, Wilmot High School and Central High School. Barbara and her childhood sweetheart, David Glasman eloped to Tupelo, MS and was united in marriage on January 27, 1955. They made Bristol, WI their home. A loving homemaker for her husband and their three daughters; she partnered with her husband, David, taking over a family business in 1967; Woodworth Garage/Glasman Towing which started in 1918. She worked as a bookkeeper/secretary for the business until their retirement in 2013. Barbara was faith filled and kept Jesus in her life. She reinforced her faith by attending Kenosha Bible Church, was a member of Westosha Lakes Church, attended many home bible studies and was a member of the Christian Women’s Club. A member of the Red Hat Club; you could find Barbara treasure hunting at flea markets and auctions, attending her grandchildren’s activities, cooking, sewing, gardening and researching family history. She had a kind and concerning heart for all but especially for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving family; her loving husband, David; and her children, Sue (Andy) Gust, Debbie Herrmann and Jane (Tim) Weis; grandchildren, Tim (Aisha) Schumann, Rob (Jessi) Schumann, AJ Gust, David (Becca) Dillon, Kaitlyn (John) Eberts, Elijah Herrmann, Holly (Charles) Terry, Jake (Emily) Weis and Carrie Weis and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Tom Busse, her sisters, Nancy (Brian) Boyington and Bev (Pat) DeBauche. |
