Alberta J. Dagon, age 94, of Kenosha, entered into heaven on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. Born on November 4, 1920 in Whitwell, TN, she was the daughter of the late Lecter and Florence (Annis) Hudson and later made Kenosha her home. While raising her daughters, Alberta was a proud homemaker. She then was employed with JC Penney in the stock room and as a seamstress for their alterations. She also worked as a cook at Rolling Hills in Zion and then became a private caregiver. A member of St. Anne Catholic Church, she celebrated her faith and gave of her time and gifts in many ways. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose in Zion. Alberta will be remembered for her talents as a seamstress and a wonderful baker. She is survived by her two daughters, Gloria (Richard) Thomas and Maureen Thomas; her eight grandchildren, Jeff (Lori) Thomas, Lisa (Scott) Gosnell, Tracy Thomas, Jacki (Chad) Zielinski, Robyn (Edward) Ferraton, Tammy Brown, Cindy (Lee) Joesten, Dale (Mendy) Thomas; a special friend, Shelly Host; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Velma Miner and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings. Alberta’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Fr. Bob Weighner of St. Anne’s Church and to Hospice Alliance; especially, Julie, Brenda, Jenny and Mary, for all of their love and support. |
