Service Date: October 30, 2019 Funeral Services honoring Henry’s life were held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Interment with full military honors was held in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI. Henry “Hank” Goldenstein, age 75 of Kenosha, died peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove, WI. Born in Chicago, IL on May 11, 1944, he was the son of the late Morris S. and Thelma (Brenner) Goldenstein. Henry was a graduate of Leyden High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting degree from Triton College in Franklin Park, IL From July 10, 1969 until his honorable discharge on November 9, 1971, Henry honorably served in the U.S. Navy (Sea Bees) during the Vietnam War. He proudly received the National Defense Service Medal, M-16 Sharpshooter Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, Vietnam Service Medal, W/FMCI and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. After his service, he joined his father in the family accounting firm of Golde & Associates in Franklin Park, IL. On May 15, 1982, he was united in marriage to Kathy Ann Dennis in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was a member of the B’Nai Zdek Synagogue (Chabad of Kenosha) and he was a life member of the Kenosha Yacht Club. He enjoyed boating on Lake Michigan and bowling. The most important thing in Hank’s life was his family and spending as much time as he could with them. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kathy Ann Goldenstein; his daughter, Lauren (Jennifer) Goldenstein of New Brighton, MN; his granddaughter, Emerson Irene Goldenstein; his brother, Jerome (Eugenie) Goldenstein of Bingen, Germany; his sister-in-law, Patti Lynn (Ronald) Moddes of Sherwood, WI; his nephews, Brian (Christopher) Goldenstein of O’Fallon, IL, Thomas (Julie) Goldenstein of Ossipee, NH and Kevin (Menal) Moddes of Burbank, CA; his niece, Kimberly Moddes of Wisconsin Dells and numerous cousins and other relatives located in Illinois, Florida and Germany. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother in law, Charles and Irene (Huckstorf) Dennis, and numerous aunts and uncles. . |
