Service Date: March 5, 2019 Funeral Services honoring Bill’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 5100 22nd Avenue. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass. Interment will follow in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. |

William J. “Bill” DeBock, age 79 of Kenosha, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 25, 2019, at his residence. Born in Superior, WI on June 7, 1939, he was the son of the late Edmund and Clara (VanLandschoot) DeBock. He was a graduate of Superior East High School. Bill proudly served our country in the U.S. Army for three years and the National Guard for 27 years. Bill was a big supporter of his fellow Veterans. He was an active member of Hero’s Café, and volunteered thousands of hours at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove. Bill was also a member of American Legion Post #171 of Union Grove, the Korean War Veteran Association Chapter #227 and Knights of Columbus Council #973. On November 29, 1963 he was united in marriage to Marie J. Ketola. Bill was employed with Johns Manville as a machinist, retiring in 1999. Until the 1980’s, he was employed with J.I. Case Company. He was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and was a Boy Scout Leader at St. Anthony’s Elementary School. Bill was always dependable and he dedicated his life to his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marie; his five children, Valerie (Jim) Mitchell, Clarissa (Mike) Johnson, Renee DeBock, Michael DeBock and Nicholas DeBock; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Baizel, Collin, Alex (Andrea) and Liz Mitchell, Stephanie (Patrick) Karls, Aaron, Marissa and Ethan Johnson; his great grandchildren, Emily Karls, AJ, Lexi and Jimmy Mitchell; his sisters, Betty Heytens and Natalie Miller; and many loving nieces and nephews.
