Lucille D. “Lucy” Terpstra, age 83 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Born on December 11, 1934 in Hurley, WI, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Younger) Zuchowski. On October 8, 1955, in Waukegan, IL, Lucy was united in marriage to Paul Terpstra. Their marriage was blessed with two beautiful daughters and 37 years of marriage. Paul preceded her in death on March 9, 1993. For 35 years, Lucy was a dedicated employee of Jockey International where she began her career as a seamstress. Lucy then worked in Jockey’s returns department and retired from their receiving department in 2000. After her retirement, Lucy was a luncheon attendant at Washington and Mahone Middle Schools. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Lucy loved football; especially the Packers and she was Bart Starr’s and Brett Favre’s biggest fan! Lucy enjoyed baking, cooking, going out to eat, taking long rides in the country and drinking that occasional beer with her friends. She took great pride in keeping a well-kept house; making it hard for her daughters to keep-up with her. Lucy will be remembered as a small but tough woman. She loved and devoted herself to her family and they always came first. She was the glue that always kept her family together. She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy (Richard) Van Duyn and Susan Kuzmic; three grandsons, Kurt (Ryann) Lindstrom, Brian Van Duyn and Milos Kuzmic; a great grandson, Cash Lindstrom; and a brother, Robert (Judy) Zuchowski. In addition to her parents and husband, Paul; Lucy was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Radiša Kuzmic; three brothers, Lawrence, Walter and Gerald Zuchowski; seven sisters, Ramona Zuchowski, Ardel Budreau, Helen Aldrich, Donna Koling, Marion Swanson, Rita Semo and Eleanor Borgo; a nephew, Ken Swanson and a niece, Charlene George. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hometown Hospice and Azura Memory Care for the compassionate care they provided. |
